One could call it the art of engineering in competition if we talk about Porsche prototypes from today's point of view. Within only a few years the over 1000 HP strong 5.4 litre twin turbo engine of the Can Am 917 was developed, starting with a 2 litre 4 cylinder engine in the 904 GTS only a few years before. Porsches Prototypes always fascinated not only drivers and team leaders but also spectators and fans with their unique design and their superior technical development.
